A clear, honest breakdown of every CardVault feature — what it does and how it works under the hood.
Upload a photo of any card and our AI analyzes centering, corners, edges, and surface — the same four criteria professional graders use. You get a recommended grade (1–9) plus a detailed written summary of every flaw detected, so you know what you have before spending money on professional slabbing.
Every value comes from actual SOLD listings — never asking or active prices. We search eBay sold data, 130point, PWCC, Goldin, Heritage Auctions, and other major sources for the 5 most recent confirmed sales of your exact card, then take the median. If no solds are found, we tell you — we never guess.
See how valuations workWe project where your card’s value could be in 10 years based on player performance, injury history, career trajectory, Hall of Fame potential, rookie-card status, and market demand. Projections are recalibrated every quarter — December, March, June, and September — so they reflect the latest player news and market conditions.
Read the full methodologyEach card gets a "hot," "cold," or "neutral" momentum rating based on whether recent sale prices are trending up or down, sales velocity in the last 30–90 days, and current player news. A short explanation tells you exactly why the rating is what it is.
Our editorial team curates a Top 10 Hot List of the cards with the strongest market momentum each month, drawn from real sales data and player performance trends. Each pick includes a short reason explaining why it’s moving right now.
View the current Hot ListSee your total raw value, graded value, invested capital, and profit/loss at a glance. Track which sets you’re building, how many cards you have from each, and what’s still missing — all updated automatically as you add to your vault.
Building a set? The Set Completion Advisor looks up the full checklist for any set in your vault, shows exactly how many cards you have versus the total, and ranks every missing card by estimated market price — cheapest first. It pulls real sold-listing data from the web so you know which singles to buy next to finish your set for the lowest cost.
Scan up to 25 cards in one session, or import an existing collection from a CSV file. Bulk entry saves time when cataloging a large collection — point, shoot, and let the AI handle identification and grading for each card.
Toggle your collection public to get a shareable link you can post on social media, show off in forums, or send to buyers. Sharing is OFF by default — your collection stays private until you explicitly opt in, and you can turn it off anytime.
Browse public collectionsYour collection data and payment information are protected by enterprise-grade security. All traffic is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS. Payment processing is handled by Base44 Payments, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest tier of payment security. Your card images and collection data are stored securely and never sold to third parties. Only you can see your own collection unless you explicitly opt in to sharing.
Read the full privacy policyThe collector leaderboard ranks every CardVault user by the total graded value of their collection, raw value, number of cards, and collector score — a composite metric that rewards collection diversity, rarity, and engagement. Climb the ranks by building a valuable, well-rounded collection. It’s a fun way to see how your vault stacks up against the community and discover what top collectors are building.
View the leaderboardEvery collector starts as a Rookie and climbs through 10 tiers — Prospect, Starter, Collector, All-Star, Elite, Premium, Legend, Savant, and GOAT — based on a composite score blending collection volume, total value, diversity across sports and sets, average AI grade quality, market awareness, and community engagement. Your tier badge displays prominently next to your name on the public leaderboard, and your score within your tier determines your rank. Open the Goat Progress panel from your dashboard to see exactly what drives your score, what each tier requires, and how close you are to the next level. Toggle your collection public from your vault settings to let other collectors browse your cards, grades, and valuations — show the community why you're the greatest of all time.
View the leaderboardWhen you toggle your collection public, every card in your vault gets a "Make Offer" button visible to anyone viewing your shared collection. Interested collectors click it, enter their name, email, an optional offer amount, and a message — and CardVault emails you their offer directly. You reply to the buyer yourself to negotiate and arrange payment however you both agree. There are no marketplace fees, no platform middleman, and no payment processing — CardVault simply makes the introduction. Selling and payment terms are entirely between you and the buyer. Toggle sharing off anytime to hide the Make Offer buttons and make your collection private again.
Browse public collectionsThe CardVault forum is where collectors connect, trade knowledge, and discuss the hobby. Browse categories like grading tips, market trends, card identification, and marketplace deals. Ask questions, share pulls, post your store links in the marketplace section, and get help from a community of fellow collectors. AI moderation keeps the forum clean and safe — inappropriate content is automatically flagged for review.

It’s perfect for showcasing your collection, protecting valuable cards, and making your cards look professional when selling — all at a fraction of the cost of a grading service.
